Ashtanga

ASHTANGA YOGA has been around forever, providing extraordinary benefits for the body and mind.
Ashtanga Vinyasa is a yoga system developed in the 1970s in southern India (Mysore).
The word Ashtanga itself means the eight-step path of yoga outlined around 500 BC. by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. The method covered by this entry focuses only on two of the above-mentioned stages, namely the practice of asana and pranayam. The founder of the Ashtanga movement was Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Until 2024, the line of transmission was continued by his extraordinary grandson, Sharath Jois.

Yoga is a state of mind in which you take care of yourself and respect yourself. You will improve and polish your mind and body through daily focus. Breathing, asanas, practice according to specific rules. You observe yourself in how you approach this unique form of self-work. There is no room for comparing yourself to others, no room for laziness and simplification. An everyday extraordinary state in which you may find yourself. You get up earlier, open your eyes, stand on the mat, mantra, sun salutation A, then B, then more standing positions, sitting positions, mariciasana, navasana, there are a few positions left for bridges, final positions, headstand, calm down. And so every day. You are free when the moon is full and new. Your clock becomes the number of times you breathe. The quality of asanas is determined by your mind. You feel how your body reacts, how your head changes, calms down and calms down. This translates into your life.
