Island Peak, 6189 m

September 2014. After many fantastic trips to Italian Dolomites I decided to get closer to the highest peaks on Earth. I am going to Kathmandu and after a few days to Lukli. Then you can only relay on your own feet. Three weeks of trekking, 186 km, approaching Mont Everest Base Camp 5364 m and capturing the special Island Peak 6189 m. Magic, unbelievable scale and space surrounded by rocks, snow and ice. Meeting yourself and verification of a question how to live. Meeting the local culture, its diversity and colouring. I meet so many happy people although their fate is not kind to them. I admire their determination and joy of life. I find space for my own thoughts… Priceless feeling to look and evaluate a place we live in from the perspective of 6000 m. Thanks to such journeys I have a space in my mind for increasingly complex profession. I work to understand deeply the needs of the other man, creating the most important area of life – home.
